Enhanced heavyweight Joe Garrett is back with believe it or not, his first original vocal production. Featuring the sultry vocals of Hannah Ray – know best for her recent ‘Nadia’ release, this is a top quality collaboration between two people who are on top of their game right now.

ARTIST INFO:

Temple One aka Joe Garrett was born on the 24th october 1986 in the south of London. From since Joe can remember, music has always been an interest to him but it wasn’t untill around the 98-99 period where Joe really took to the sound of “Trance”.

Fasicnated by the sound and melodies, Joe began to collect and listen to all the trance he could get hold of.. and was especially inspired by the famous ‘Gatecrasher’ compilations. Joe’s love for Trance grew so he decided to take it further by taking up DJing… with little experiance at the time, Joe spent most of his free days practicing. As the years went on, Joe felt he wanted something more from the music so began to make the sound using cheap music programs such as eJay, music 2000 etc..although crude, Joe gained the basics from theese programs and developed a small understanding of how electronic music was put together.

In adolescence, Joe started to explore advanced music production softwares such as Cubase, Logic and reason.. though more complex, he spent all his time learning and building knowledge of the programs and as time went by Joe added more production equipment to his small ‘studio’ such as synthesizers, sound modules etc. From this, Joe has never looked backed and in 2006 he got his first release (Eternal Light & Silent Nature) with ‘Trance Revolution Recordings’.

“Temple 1 is a name that will become familiar very fast… These two tracks are simply the highest quality trance music. Eternal Light is a powerfull pumping track with a big trance riff and amazing key changes.. Silent nature is more subdued and relaxing but still kicks an awsome punch with a big riff anfter a uplifting breakdown.”

It gained support from the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten & Matt Hardwick etc. This gave a big opening for Joe and from that release, remix offeres soon followed. Currently under management by Enhanced Music, Joe is making his mark in the industry and is continuing to do what he loves.

Hannah Ray has been singing professionally for over ten years now. She has recently had a couple of awesome dance releases and she is loving working with some of the best DJ’s and Producers out there. Several more dance related tracks are on their way and hopefully some performances too!

As you probably observed, every choon of the week has an interview with its artist. I was personally curious about Temple One’s style of producing and also about his future projects and I managed to ask him a few questions:

Vlad Ghetu: Hello Joe and thanks for accepting choonoftheweek.com’s offer.
First of all I would like to congratulate you for “Autumn Leaves” project… it sounds magnificent. In my opinion, the collaboration with Hannah Ray is a big plus for your career.
Knowing you as an uplifter, this release was a big surprise to me. Didn’t expect to hear progressive & vocals on you tracks. Does Temple One change his basic style ?

Joe Garrett: Hello! and many thanks for making my track ‘Autumn leaves’ choonoftheweek!

I’m always trying out diffrent styles and sounds….obviously my ‘main’ sound is Trance but its nice & refreshing to try out new things as it can inject inspiration for other projects. My other alias ‘Tu Casa’ focuses on the slower more techy, melodic side of Trance so that also gives me a twist in direction.

Vlad Ghetu: It also seems you’re very active at the moment: Autumn Leaves (1 & 2), November Lovely, your radioshow Terminal One, many other remixes and appearances in DJ sets.
What can we expect from you till the end of 2010 ? Are you working on something new ?

Joe Garrett: I’m just putting the final touches to a new EP im working on which should see a release shortly. Also, I have a new collaboration track with the very talented Jorn Van Deynhoven….the track is called ‘Halo’ and will be forthcoming on Armada this summer. Will be continuing my radio show ‘Terminal one’ doing gigs and loads of interesting remixes and originals!

Nuera introduces you to another 2 of his studio-babies: ‘Mirage‘ and ‘The Lost Island‘. They both have that warm Nuera sound taking over, but the difference is in the techy surprise in ‘Mirage’ and ambient feel of ‘The Lost Island’. 

ARTIST INFO: 

When it comes about trance music, Georgia, the little country situated at the juncture of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, comes up with a new talent. Levan Nadareishvili aka Nuera is a young DJ & Producer born in Tbilisi (the capital of Georgia) who has recently discovered his way into glory. Having releases under labels like Arisa Audio, Detox Records and Magic Island Recordings, Levan is nowadays one of the most active young artists on the trance scene. 

From an early childhood he was in love with music, expressing it by singing already at the age of 4. At the age of 13 he started to take guitar lessons which resulted in playing and singing in a band for two years. 

In 2000 he discovered the trance music genre, but as a simple listener at that time. In 2007 he decided to start making his own music, being influenced by lots of electronic music artists. After one year of producing, his music was appraised by the famous DJ and producer Leon Bolier who connected Levan to his publisher “Cloud 9 Music”. In 2009 Roger Shah introduced Levan to Armada Music and signed him to his label “Magic Island Recordings”. 

I personally decided to interview Levan Nadareishvili in order to find out more info about his interesting alias, recent accomplishments and future plans. He was more than glad to answer my questions as you would see further on: 

Vlad Ghetu: Hi there Levan and thanks for accepting choonoftheweek.com’s offer.
First of all I’m personally curious about your alias, Nuera. What does it mean and why did you choose such a nickname ? 

Levan Nadareishvili: Hi Vlad , Thank you for choosing my track as a future choon of the week.
When I started  to think about my alias, I wanted to think about something that would express what I want to say with my music and something that will be easy to remember too.
So I decided to choose Nuera which means New Era. I really want to say something new and special with my music.  

Vlad Ghetu: “Inside EP” seems to be a great success so far. Tracks are professional and the bass sounds more than perfect. The guitar and piano makes me think about Roger Shah’s or maybe Leon Bolier’s influences. Who are the artists that influenced you the most in your career and what other sources of inspiration do you have ? 

Levan Nadareishvili: Mostly my inspiration comes from music that has a classical feeling that are really melodic, harmonic and warm. Doesnt matter it will be whether electronic, classical or soft rock. But i love some stuff from many other genres too. Shah’s & Bolier’s stuff are really something that i like so everything we like can be influential for us somehow. 

Vlad Ghetu: What are Nuera’s plans for the future ? Any other projects/releases till the end of this year ? 

Levan Nadareishvili: I’ve got so many releases planned this year. Just finished a collaboration with Elsa Hill. There will be two more vocal singles with dutch vocalist Szen. Also lots of Remixes, 2 of them for Roger Shah. I’m also working on a second EP for Magic Island, Two of the tracks are already done. So there will be lots of stuff coming out this year.

ARTIST INFO: 

Evgeny Shagalov is a young russian talent born in 1987 in Krasnoyarsk, a city located in Central-South region of Russia. He looks like a busy man as far as he takes everything in serious at the moment. He’s currently student at the Novosibirsk Technical University following Information Security of Automated speciality; while being student he’s also working for an ISP company. During his free time he enjoys playing volleyball, ping pong and chess where he got the 2nd adult level award. 
Speaking about music, Evgeny has a lot of affinities with this discipline. Many things derived from his father who was able to play on several musical instruments. Following his tastes, the little Evgeny started to play piano by himself, trying to reproduce melodies from movies, radio and TV hits. Further on he joined the a musical primary school and continued to compose his own tracks. At the end of the school Evgeny finally defined his own style of music [ which is trance music ], after listening to artists like Oceanlab, Solarstone, The Thrillseekers, Mike Foyle, Above and Beyound. “I was wonder-struck by their melodious fresh sound. They pushed me to make music which I do today.”, he said. 
In 2009 Evgeny made public his first official release: Evgeny Shagalov – “Touching Time“. The track was supported by several DJ’s like: M.I.K.E, Suzy Solar, Airbase and many others. He recently released ”Emerald Sunset“, track that I’ve chosen as 3rd choon of the week for June 2010. I also managed to ask Evgeny some questions about the current release and about his future plans too. He was glad to return the answers for choonoftheweek.com’s audience. 

Vlad Ghetu: “Emerald sunset” seems to be a good start for 2010. What should we expect from the artist Evgeny Shagalov in the future ? 

Evgeny Shagalov: Not going to guess… I will try not to disappoint my listeners. xD. At the moment I am in search of my style and sound, so probably the following projects will be much different from my previous ones. We’ll see. 

Vlad Ghetu: What are your sources of inspiration when it comes about producing ? 

Evgeny Shagalov: My sources are everything around me, colors, smells, new experiences, events, feelings. I am very impressive. 

Vlad Ghetu: What is your favourite music creation software?

Sebastian Spang also known as Six Senses, Factor Six or Zero2Sixx is a dutch DJ and Producer born on the sixth of June 1979. Grewing up in the small town of de Krim in the Netherlands, Sebastian comes from a fairly musical family, especially on his mothers side so it wasn’t a big surprise that he would also had a great interest in music. Having inspiration from colossal artists like Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre, the passion for music caught him from a very young age. He started to play at his grandmothers’ electronic organ and later took some advanced keyboard lessons. He also discovered the more melodical type of dance music called trance, which was beginning to gain more and more popularity in the Netherlands. He started listening to trance and developed a great enthusiasm for it. Music from DJ Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten really pushed him to also start producing trance music.
The sound of Six Senses has an unique approach when it comes about uplifting, fact that makes Sebastian’s style to be original on EDM scene. The innovative spirit plus his marvelous releases sooner arrests big labels’ attention and brought him the fame.

choonoftheweek.com wanted to find out more info about Sebastian’s new alias, Factor Six and asked him a few questions.

Vlad Ghetu: What’s the meaning of your new alias, Factor six and what inspired you to choose such a nickname ?

Sebastian Spang: My new alias stands for more powerfull uplifting trance with a kinda bang. Simple but banging, I want to to try to make the people jump on this Boom trance. My future plans are on producing a follow up to Microtonic this year ad expand my new alias more.

Vlad Ghetu: What kind of productions would you like to release under this alias ?

Sebastian Spang: The sound of the productions as Six Senses pres Factor Six will be harder/more banging, maybe a mixture between uplifting and techy trance. I used to do tech trance under my alias Sebastiaan Spang, I do emotional uplifting trance as Six Senses, so blend it and that is the sound of Six Senses pres Factor Six.

Vlad Ghetu: It seems you have a very active Spring so far. You have released one of your latest projects called “Pandora” which was supported by all major DJs around the world and also the compilation “In Charge essentials”. Do you have any other plans for 2010 ?

Ali Wilson: Yes I have done a track with Marco V called “Kaos Theory”, also a new track called “Danger” just out on Incharge, also have an album coming out in summer, so will be touring with that!

The W&W adventure began when both guys discovered their love for EDM. Finding out about this ‘different’ type of music, made them discover a whole lot more than they’d expected. A shared passion for beats and melodies is what drew these guys to a team-up in the studio. It didn’t take long before they met and decided it was time to fathom their musical chemistry in the studio.
Willem: “We first met at Trance Energy 2007. We both have a huge interest in music so we hooked up a lot. Nowadays we are very close friends, besides being studio partners. I think it was in the summer of 2007 that we decided to produce some stuff together. The first track that was finished, was ‘Mustang”.

W&W, the guise of Dutch producers Wardt van der Harst and Willem van Hanegem, is considered the next big thing in tech-trance.

After “Mustang”, new choons were released under Armada. ‘Intercity’, ‘Dome’, ‘Arena’ and ‘The Plan’, all masterpieces of their own kind. However, there’s always been one compromise. It’s got to have the W&W sound. W&W hasn’t only delivered bangers of tracks, but also introduced their unique, typical sound. Willem and Wardt both define it as ‘big room trance with a techy edge’. W&W: “We always try to bring that big room feeling in our records with massive lead sounds, catchy melodies and tough beats.”

ARTIST INFO:

Masoud is a young DJ & Producer from Bandar-e Anzali a beautiful harbour town from Iran, also known as Bandar-e Pahlavi before the Iranian Revolution in 1979. The town is situated in the Iranian province of Gilan, exactly at the Caspian Sea and has a population of approximately 150.000.
Masoud Fouladi Moghaddam (his real name), also known as Masoud Fuladi or Dj MaSound had arts affinities from childhood when he tried to develop his musical talent on different instruments. He started playing keyboards and piano with 7 years and making his own production within 16. Knowing his big potential, he has performed many concerts with some local bands playing keyboards and becoming popular and appreciated by people.
He recently joined Levare Recordings, a trance sub-label from Flashover Recordings founded by well known DJ & Producer Ferry Corsten. Under Levare, Masoud released his first trance track, in collaboration with Josie; the track is called “Leave it all behind” and it already has a great success being suported by the biggest DJs of the planet like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond and many more who played the track on their weekly radio shows. More than that, Tritonal, Amurai & Jorn van Deynhoven already remixed Masoud’s new track.

Masoud also remixed for DJ Eco’s track “Staring at the sea”, remix that sounds amazing too and it was already played by Ferry Corsten on his weekly radio show, Corsten’s countdown 134 and Above & Beyond, on their Trance Around The World 304.
